Warsaw Pact Blues

Come Back, Krushchev, I've got the War on Terror* blues.
Come back, Stalin, and ideological abuse.
Come back, Molotov, threaten us with blast-off,
At least we had an idea where your rockets were.
Come back Cold War, sock it to us once more,
We're up against bin Laden and we know who we prefer.

Come Back, Krushchev, I've got the War on Terror blues,
It's not a real war, just a politician's ruse
Their motives Ulterior. Creating Hysteria.
To crush the opposition and impose their will.
We found bin Laden's cave, we're told,
His terrorists about to fold,
But years and billions later he is sitting there still.

How are we to fight him just with ships and with planes,
With outdated generals with outdated campaigns?
Come back, Krushchev, come back, Brezhnev
I got the War on Terror Blues.

We've got a new perspective on your ludicrous invective
It cowed a population that did not complain.
We know it is subjective, but the H-Bomb was effective
At showing us which way to point our tanks and our planes.

Come Back, Krushchev, I've got the War on Terror blues,
Got information, but very little we can use.
We chased away the Taliban,
And had success when we began,
But didn't do it thoroughly - they all came back.
And now we're in a civil war,
Not certain what we're fighting for,
Breeding lots of terrorists in old Iraq.

How are we to fight him just with ships and with planes,
With outdated generals with outdated campaigns?
Come back, Krushchev, come back, Brezhnev,
I got the War on Terror
Blues.
